Then, in 2018, the family sat down and had a discussion. They decided to take a leap of faith and open a brick-and-mortar business in downtown Marysville, Ohio. Thus, Soda Pharm was born.
The business is a beautiful family affair. Dawn has created sodas that use organic cane sugar, herbs and spices. Carson is the brainchild behind the packaging and construction. Their children help behind the counter providing excellent customer service.

Soda Pharm has your tried-and-true flavors such as root beer and ginger ale which are bursting with flavor. But why stop there? Soda Pharm is a business that contributes greatly to the community. Not only does this family provide nourishing food items, but they also provide a place for parents and young children to build bonds and connect with others. This is achieved through multiple avenues as simple as hanging out and playing with toys in the store – something that has become somewhat rare in this day and age. Book clubs are also offered for both adults and for children. The family looks to feed mind, body and soul in a healthy balance.
In the near future, the family plans to host monthly harvest dinners, provide volunteer opportunities to help work on the farm and provide an area for community gardens. Encouraging education about where our food comes from and how it is grown is just as important as making wise consumer decisions. Dawn and her family will be promoting the full package in hopes that it will become a trickle down effect throughout our communities.
